<p>Many people search for exercises to burn fat from their stomach, but the real truth is that fat burning just doesn’t work like that.  <em>When you lose body fat it&#8217;s lost from the entire body</em> &#8211; not just the belly, the legs, butt, etc. No matter how many sit ups or crunches you do &#8230; you won&#8217;t burn off any fat.<span id="more-308"></span></p>
<p><strong>2.    Cardio (Done Right) Is Important</strong></p>
<p>Cardio done the right way can be very effective in helping your body burn off excess fat and boosting your metabolism. When you throw in cardio and/or resistance training to burn off another 250 calories a day, you boost your fat loss by another 1/2 a pound. A healthy level of weight loss is about 1/2 – 2 pounds per week.</p>
<p><strong>4.    Sit Ups and Crunches Are Useless</strong></p>
<p>A lot of people are surprised by this because we are normally taught that sit ups and crunches are great exercises for our abs. <em>The real truth is they&#8217;re pretty useless for getting visible abs BUT perfect for strengthening your abs and lower back muscles.</em></p>
